Veterans and their families are invited to join JCF for a free community BBQ on July 31st from 4–7 PM at JFK Park in East Helena. This event is a great opportunity to connect, relax, and enjoy good food together.
Join Concerned Veterans for America Foundation and New York Life for Burgers, Brews & Big Plans—a free financial seminar for veterans and their families happening August 9 at Missouri River Brewing Co. in Helena, MT. This casual, informative event will cover money management basics, smart financial planning, and how to get the most out of your benefits—all while enjoying delicious food and drinks. It’s a great opportunity to connect, learn, and set your course for financial success. Come hungry for knowledge (and burgers)!
The Helena Veteran Service Providers group will meet on Wednesday, August 13 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Sara McCabe Power Community Room in the Lewis and Clark Library. A virtual option will be available. This meeting is open to any individual, organization, or nonprofit that supports and provides services to service members (active duty, National Guard, Reserve), veterans, and military families. August's guest presentation will be provided by Volunteers of America.

The American Legion of Montana Boys State and the American Legion of Montana Auxiliary Girls State are immersive, weeklong programs designed for high school juniors to learn about government, leadership, and citizenship. Held annually at Carroll College in Helena, the 2025 sessions will take place from June 8–14. Participants will gain hands-on experience by forming mock governments, running for office, and passing legislation. This unique opportunity, valued at $300, is fully covered by local American Legion Posts and Auxiliary Units across the state, making it a cost-free experience for delegates.
Join Impact Montana for the 16th Annual Montana Warrior Run in 2025! This event unites runners, veterans, and first responders to strengthen communities. Choose from a 10K, 5K, 1-Mile Run, or tackle the Trifecta (all three races). Military, veterans, and youth (under 17) get $10 off with codes SMVFRF2025 and Youth2025. All participants receive a souvenir, and top finishers earn medals.
